Hundreds of people marched from Cannaregio to Rialto Saturday morning, Sept. 10. They carried shopping bags and carts with them, a sign, said the organizers, of normality for those who live in the city, because “…living in our city should not be a luxury for the few… The time for words is over, and instead it is time for the citizens to show unity in defense of Venezia.”
Nine other citizens groups joined in the march.
