In recent week reports about tourism and cruise ship pollution have come out from The Guardian and the BBC in England, as well as PBS, CNN, the New York Times in the US and also Reuters. The resoundingly negative coverage prompted Venice Tourism Assessor Paola Mar to suggest that the string of articles was somehow like a coordinated conspiracy to denigrate the image of Venice.
We’ll be posting some articles that call this notion of a ‘conspiracy’ in to serious question, but first, here is a list of links to the recent articles that have stirred things up so much.
