
Signs of the lagoon: the impact of cultural foundations in Venice.

The Veneto Institute of Sciences, Letters and Arts and the Querini Stampalia Foundation, in consideration of the close relations between the institutions deriving from the testamentary wishes of Count Giovanni Querini, announce a study award of € 3,000.00 to promote a study aimed at investigating, quantifying and mapping the impact of the growing number of cultural foundations present in Venice on the productive activity of the city.
The aspects that must specifically be explored in depth are the following:
– New professions and skills
– Training and job opportunities
– Impact on residential areas
– Activation of subcontracting networks
– Economic and social sustainability
– Collaborations and synergies
By accepting the Award, the winner undertakes to conclude the study within 10 months and to hold a public conference focused on the awarded work at the Fondazione Querini Stampalia, free of charge, at times and in ways to be agreed with the Secretary.
Admission requirements – Researchers of any nationality may apply for the Award if, on the closing date of this call, they have not reached the age of 35 (mothers may subtract one year from their chronological age for each child).
